A Kinda Magic Takes a Break
Posted by Justin Gilbody - 9 January 2011 - 3:13PM
Unfortunately, due to family and work commitments, I have decided to take a break from performing. I endeavour to return with a new show in the not too distant future, so watch this space. I would like to thank anyone that has ever taken the time to watch and support my show, in particular my wife and family, Del at D.E.L. PA, Dave at Holloywood Promotions and Sound man Pete. It's been an interesting 9 years of performing all over the UK, with many highs and some occassional lows. You can still contact me through this website. Regards Justin

To the best of my knowledge Freddie Mercury never appeared in South Normanton, Derbyshire, but your show on Saturday night was the next best thing! Your voice is getting even stronger and you certainly sound like Freddie, keep up the good work and we hope to see your show again soon! Ian B

Gig Cancellation: Friday 23rd April.

Due to a week of lovely man flu (it's no joke!) and now the world's loudest and irritating cough, I am unfortunately unable to do tonights show at the King Edward VII in Tibshelf. I have replaced the show with Andy Paul's Meatloaf Experience. He is absolutely fantastic and for those who still fancy a great night out, he is well worth the effort. Many apologies for any inconvenience. The show has been rearranged for Friday 14th May 2010. Also, I must apologise to anyone who made the trips to either Northampton last Friday and West Bridgeford last Saturday, and were disappointed by my 'no-show'. I was in the midst of my wonderful flu experience, so couldn't let anyone know. Thanks, Justin.

Feedback - Sean (Grimsby Pride)

Justin was asked to perform at Grimsby’s first ever Pride event. This was a massive step for Grimsby in integrating the community and bringing them all together. Part of the line-up was A Kinda Magic, performed by Justin. He opened the day and set the bar for all performers to follow on this milestone day. He performed all the classics we all know and love to sing along to. He interacted with the crowds and wowed them for the whole time he was on stage. He is definitely worth booking as he is just like having the real person here with you. He even looks like the real thing, with a staggering voice. An act well worth booking !!! He is also being asked to perform at Grimsby Pride 2010!

Hello Justin. I saw saw your show last night at the ivy leaf club in Sheldon, Birmingham. I thought your performance was outstanding. You have got freddie off to a tee: The moves, stances and manorisms were spot on. I,ve been a fan of Queen for almost 20 years and have got most albums and dvds/videos. You did not only sing the songs perfectly, but your attention to detail was terrfific. The way freddie sang live was different to the records and you captured that remarkably. I've seen three other queen tributes and you were best by miles. I have been telling all my friends how good you were and i just wanted to tell you too. Keep it up. Cheers. Adam - Birmingham.

Justin has entertained us on four ocassions now. The first time we saw him was at a charity event in a bar in Bakewell, we were so impressed that we asked if he could provide the entertainment for our wedding. This went down so well that a couple of years later for my 50th birthday party the natural thing to do was to ask Justin to become "Freddie" once more - the party rocked! Throughout the evening Justin managed to get everybody up onto the dance floor. One of the party guests booked Justin for his leaving do - again a roaring success. We can honestly say that if you want a fun packed event from a professional and talented entertainer then Justin's your man.(He's a really nice guy too.)
